At the end of March, contemporary art is in the spotlight in the capital and Le Burgundy Paris offers an enticing program. Amateur artists and interested guests can visit PAD at the Tuileries from March 22nd to 26th. The event marries art and design and it ably sets the course for the Art Paris Art Fair 2017 which will be held from March 30th to April 2nd at the Grand Palais.
The intimacy of the decorative arts
A combination of modern art, historical design and contemporary lines, PAD has covered every aspect of the decorative arts for the last 20 years. It offers a unique setting for visitors – more than an exhibition, it recreates the feel of an intimate gallery where collectors can show off their own cabinet of curious and most meaningful works. In short, it’s like entering the artist’s home studio. It allows you to view works in a unique way. Furniture, light fixtures, paintings, sculptures or jewellery, you’ll enjoy a complete journey through the contemporary arts.
Art Paris Art Fair at the Grand Palais
"Still the Grand Palais", Carl Burgundy is a bit reluctant but he gives in quickly. After all who can refuse when there are 150 galleries from some 20 countries presenting the latest trends in contemporary art. Of course, Marie knows how to be convincing, especially when she plays her trump card – Africa will be in the spotlight for this 2017 edition! Open to all artistic disciplines and showing every type of art, Art Paris Art Fair presents paintings, sculptures, photos, installations and even furniture from the post-war to the present day. Its "Promise" section is 100% international for this year, and highlights up and coming young galleries who have shown promise. Perfect, right?
